On May 21st, Art Love Charity and San Marino Griffins Lions Club raised $1500 for American Cancer Society through an afternoon tea charity event. Xiao Ming, an excellent Michelin-starred Chef, volunteered her skills and worked past midnight to prepare food for the event. Our talented student volunteers performed wonderful music through various instruments. Trustee Linda Wah gave a passionate speech to the students and parents about flexible career and education opportunities offered at Pasadena Community College. Vivian Chan, a philanthropist and cancer survivor, and Dan Witzling, the Senior Executive Director of ACS, shared stories of their different battles against cancer and the importance of love to those who are still fighting it. The event was filled with music, love, fun, and goodwill.
